Ray and me raising banner in Jerusalem, Israel – in the same temple where Jesus preached Isaiah 61 and said, “Today this scripture is fulfilled.” (Luke 4:17-22)
When Ray and I went trip to Israel several years ago, we raised a beautiful, hand-made banner made by Donna Bosn of He Knows My Name ministry. Donna has a great heart of compassion and love, especially for Israel, and she creates very unique banners, with the name of the Lord sewn on them in Hebrew. They are raised in countries all over the world as a declaration to proclaim and lift up the name of Jesus as Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
Last year Donna went to Africa on a missions trip, raising a banner, and God did amazing things. While there, she and her husband Rae adopted an African, orphan boy, Emmanuel, from there. Emmanuel’s name is significant, because it means “God is with us.”
Donna’s website has a wealth of information on the Bible, Jewish holidays, news sites to keep up with the latest on Israel, the meaning of the banner, God’s name meanings, world events, and much more. She and her husband are truly people after God’s own heart.
“Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1-3)
