Be still

So much for beautiful sunny weather. This morning it’s been overcast. But as I sat in my office checking email, looking outside the window at the dark clouds, I heard a dove cooing. And I felt such peace.

Not that everything is going great right now. In fact, just the opposite.

Marriage struggles.
Financial stress.
Problems with our kids.
I gained 5 pounds back, and need to lose much more.
Still not finished with my new book, Promises In The Dark.

Yea, I’m hitting some brick walls. What’s a girl of fast action to do?

Selah. Pause. Listen to the dove cooing. (She just cooed again as I wrote that…cool!)

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is be still.

“Be still and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.” ~ Psalm 46:10, NLT

Yes we must be still…when we do we move ourselves out of God’s way and then He can work. Resting in Him is such a weapon.
    Thanks for the reminder.
