God is big enough

Pat, Kim, Caleb, Megan, Nathaniel“If God were small enough to be understood, He would not be big enough to be worshipped.” ~ Elisabeth Elliot, author, speaker, missionary

I wanted to give a huge praise report about our friends Pat and Kim in Florida, who needed a financial miracle by yesterday to adopt the special-needs Chinese baby girl.  God answered our prayers, and right now they are on an international flight to Beijing, China to pick up their baby girl Hadassah Joy Weber! Just three days ago, they were able to secure a loan for the entire balance that was left to pay, which they needed to adopt her –  the very same day their passports and visas arrived in the mail!  What was so amazing is that morning, their middle son Nathaniel told Kim, “God is going to give you the money today, mom!”  Oh, the pure, simple faith of a child!  Here is the beautiful Weber family – my friends who have such a big, unselfish, giving heart of love to take this little girl who was abandoned  as a baby on the streets in China into their own home, and love her with Christ’s unconditional love. Giving her opportunities and privileges she would never have in one of the many, heart-breaking orphanages in China!

Thank You, Lord Jesus, and thank all of you readers and listeners who prayed for them!  Please continue to pray that God would help them to quickly pay off this loan this coming year.  I am now in Florida, babysitting their three precious children at home, Caleb, Nathaniel, and Megan, while their parents fly to China to bring Hadassah home on Christmas Eve – their family’s very special Christmas gift this year!

God wants to do for you what He did for the Weber family. Whatever YOUR prayer request is, large or small, God is big enough! In fact, He is MORE THAN ENOUGH!  All we have to do is walk in obedience to His word, pray in faith according to God’s will, and we will receive. (John 16:23-24)

“I will tell of the kindness of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us – yes, the many good things He has done for the house of Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses.”  (Isaiah 63: 7, NIV)

I am SO happy for Pat and Kim, and have been praying fervently for this.  On Wednesday, our daughter Leah and I flew to Florida to help them.  For the next 10 days, I will be taking care of the kids and running them to their daily activities – church, practices for the Christmas play this Sunday night, homeschool coop, youth group party, etc. – as well as working on this website and a new exciting project for the coming year,  in my group coaching class taught by Cindy Rushton.

This conference is overflowing with God’s anointing!

Let these women of faith encourage you today, and please keep our friends Pat and Kim, me, and the children in your prayers.  Soon they will be home with their precious gift from God!  Lord God, we give you all the praise – YOU ARE BIG ENOUGH FOR ANY SITUATION!   Just let go.  Give your circumstance to the Lord today, and just watch and see what He can and will do! Nothing is impossible with God!
