Good hair day

Do you ever want to change your hair – the color, the style, the length – just something?

Last year I went to my hairdresser, asking her to change it to a dark auburn color. It changed all right, but not the way I wanted.

Apparently my hair is dry and porous, and the color result was NOT, let me tell you, auburn. I walked out of there with Joan Jett black hair.

A couple of weeks ago, I felt the same urge. I wanted dark auburn hair. You are probably thinking, Does she ever learn? LOL.

My hairdresser tried again. OMG(osh)! It didn’t turn dark auburn. It turned dark, muddy brown and ash!

So I went to a new hairdresser this week. Actually she’s my old hairdresser, Lori. Not old, as in old lady. My former one who I used to go to.

She looked at it and said, “The problem is that your hairdresser didn’t put any red in it!” Uh yeah, I know!

So Lori saturated it with red. Once again, because my hair is porous, it turned dark quickly. But this time, at least, it is auburn. It finally has the RED!

Next time we will go with a lighter auburn.

But we’re getting there – now I finally have the RED in there! I am happy with it. Ray said it looks nice. My friends have complimented me on it.

It’s REALLY different from my naturally, dark brown hair with the blonde highlights. But I like it!

There’s an expression: “New hair, new things are about to happen.”

I receive that! Yes! (I’m praying to go to Africa in December 2013 to speak at 2 women’s conferences in Kenya and a church in Uganda. Learn more by clicking here.)
