The Cinderella Story: The Power of Shoes

Your values are your beliefs, what you esteem highly. A business’ core values set the course for its environment and its success (or failure). Your values are what really matters to you and where you invest your time.

Here are my core values at BethJones.net.

Faith ~ I can’t separate my business from my faith in Jesus Christ. God is everything to me. He is my next breath – and yours. I need His wisdom, direction, and guidance every day in my life and my business. He saved me, delivered me, healed me, restored me, and gave me new abundant life through Jesus Christ. “In Him we live and move and have our being.” – Acts 17:28. Here at BethJones.net, my faith is an integral part of my business.

Truth ~ The truth is what sets us free. (John 8:30-32) God has set me apart to be a messenger of truth. My business’s foundation is set upon the eternal truth of God’s word. I am a speaker and a writer of truth.

Family ~ Next to Jesus, my family is the greatest and most precious blessing God has given me. I believe that being a mother is the most sacred, important job in the whole world. No worldly success I ever could achieve in this life could compare to that of being the best mom and wife possible. My relationship with God and my family will always be more important than my business. I take time off work for family birthdays, holidays, vacations, fun times, and times as needed with them. There are also times my family has to understand I’m working on important projects. I have to do what God has called me to do and to be. It’s about priorities and life balance. The Bible says in Luke 9:25 NLT, “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but are yourself lost or destroyed?” I am strongly passionate about women using their gifts for God for His glory, but our most important ministry begins in the home first.

Influence ~ We aren’t to be an island in ourselves, but to make an impact on others’ lives and to leave a Godly legacy. More important than anything else, I want to influence and inspire my children and grandchildren. I also am called by God to encourage and lead other women. I’ve always felt like I was on the outside looking in, never fitting in with the crowd. That is because God made me to stand out as a leader. “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson. I’m a woman on fire for God, blazing a trail for women to follow Jesus and to fulfill their great destiny, being all God created them to be. I want to be a woman of global influence and impact, making a difference at this crucial time in history with God’s love, forgiveness, and power.

Adventure ~ I don’t believe that God wants us to have a boring, mundane, mediocre life. He wants our lives to be an exciting adventure, and He wants to help us make our BIG DREAMS COME TRUE! One of my passions is traveling, across the U.S. and internationally. I encourage my audiences, fans, followers, customers, and clients to make their lives an adventure. That sometimes means doing things that are uncomfortable or risky – being stretched so you can grow as a person. Really live!

Integrity ~ The definiton of integrity means adherence to moral and ethical principles, soundness of moral character, honesty. It means doing what’s right even when no one is watching. My desire is to run a business of integrity, doing what is right according to God’s word.

Excellence ~ I have battled perfectionism, as many people do. God is helping me to overcome that, and I now strive for excellence instead. This means everything from giving excellent keynote speaking presentations to writing excellent books to being an excellent life coach. It includes giving excellent customer and client service and to make sure they LOVE it. My desire is say and do everything with excellence because God is excellent.

Leadership ~ Thought leader John Maxwell says, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” A great leader also raises up other leaders, not being intimidated by, envious or threatened by them. Here at BethJones.net, I encourage you to step out in faith into your leadership role and to fulfill your great potential through Christ. No more hiding, fear, or intimidation.

Purpose ~ Purpose is so important. God has created all of us for one purpose – to worship and glorify Him. But He has also created you for a specific, unique purpose; some call it a mission and others an assignment. Whatever you call it, you were made for and are here for a Divine reason. One of my gifts is perceiving spiritual gifts, talents, and skills in people, and encouraging and motivating them to use them for God’s glory. I want to spur you on in walking out your great purpose.

Giving ~ God so loved the world that He GAVE His only Son. (John 3:16) God is a generous Giver and as believers in Christ, we should be, too. I have a giving gift. (Romans 12:8) I love to give thoughtful gifts to my family and friends. I also love to give encouragement, prayer, motivation, and valuable content and service to my audiences, customers, and clients. Giving generously is an important part of my business and ministry. I give 10% tithe from the proceeds of my speaking fees, book sales, and client programs to Guatamala missionaries Ron and Rhonda Hedrick and their son Jeremiah, as well as other missions organizations and to family and friends in need. Givers should give generously and cheerfully. My husband Ray has been to Haiti 5 times to train security officers for our friend Pastor Jay Threadgill and to Mexico twice for missions trips. I went on his 3rd trip to Haiti. Ray and I have been to Israel and Africa for missions trips. Our daughter Heather has been to South America and India and U.S. state-side missions trips. We are a missions-oriented family, as we believe in giving our lives in service to God and sharing the gospel and our gifts, wherever God would send us.

Personal Development and Growth ~ If God’s sole intent was to just get us saved, the moment we received Jesus as Lord and Savior, we’d die and go straight to Heaven. God wants so much more for you and me ~ to grow and be formed into the image of Jesus Christ ~ and to make a difference in others’ lives. God is the Potter and we are the clay. (Isaiah 64:8) God uses trials, tests, and temptations in our lives to help us learn and grow. At BethJones.net, I encourage personal development and spiritual growth through my speaking, writing, and coaching. God never intended you to stay stuck, going around the same mountain over and over again. He wants you free and soaring. Most of us never accomplish our great potential. I want to help you SUCCEED and be more!

Passion ~ For those who know me, I’m a very passionate person. You can take one look at my face and know exactly what I am thinking and feeling. My passion is evident. I’m passionate about my faith in Jesus, my family, speaking, traveling, Israel and the Jews, chocolate, cute shoes, Sharpie ultra fine pens, Mexican food, Starbucks, giving to the poor, ministering to the hurting, honesty and truth, having fun, and so much more. My mission and passion is equipping women to use their gifts for God, doing what they love, and prospering in all areas of life. I encourage everyone to pursue their passion. Jesus was passionate about his life and mission, which was to save us and to glorify God.

Fun ~ I think life would be pointless with no fun! I also believe with all my heart that God WANTS us to have fun. He created babies and children with the gift of laughter. If you watch babies or kids, you’ll see that they laugh easily and laugh a lot. We as adults should take note and laugh a lot, too – to have FUN! God wants us to enjoy our lives. Laughter is good medicine. (Proverbs 17:22) Our joy also draws others to Jesus.  Here at BethJones.net, I love to have fun in my business. I’m not an outgoing, friendly Sanguine by personality, but I have a great, off-the-wall sense of humor and a dry wit. I love to laugh and for my family and friends to laugh, too. Having fun also taps into your creativity. So go ahead, PLAY! Have some fun today! It’s good for the body and soul.
