Second edit done. Getting closer to finishing my new fiction book!

Last night I finished the second edit on my new fiction book, The Game Blocks of Life.

Our talented daughter Leah, who is a graphic designer, designed the front cover for me. (Pictured above) I bought the image of the colored blocks on iStock, where I always find the perfect image for my book covers.

My goal now is to get the third edit done by this Friday (October 22) , and then print out the manuscript for a more thorough edit. There’s something about printing out a manuscript that helps you to find content, spelling, and grammar mistakes easier. Then I’ll do the final proofreading before publishing it at Amazon.

This is my 22nd book that I will publish.

I just hosted and spoke at The Power of Shoes speakers/writers virtual retreat on September 16-17, 2021. It was amazing and the speakers were anointed by God!

I’ve held these speakers/writers retreats in person twice before here in Butler, Missouri, where I live, and taught part of it at my friend Missy Hoffman’s live event in Hutchinson, Kansas. My business coach Diane Cunningham Ellis encouraged me to “pivot” when Covid-19 hit the USA and so many speaking venues were closed; she said to bring my speaking online.

So that is what I did. This is the first virtual retreat that I’ve done and it was fun! I hope to do more in the future. What an honor and a blessing that these gifted speakers said yes to God and to me.
