As believers in Christ we face spiritual battles each day. And sometimes you get tired and weary of fighting. The good news is that you’re not alone and that the battle belongs to the Lord. I like how Francesca Battistelli says it in the first lyrics of her song, “Free To Be Me””:
I’m still looking for a dream
A war’s already waged for my destiny
But You’ve already won the battle
And You’ve got great plans for me
Though I can’t always see
In the midst of the battle it’s hard to see the progress you’re making and the victory that is just on the other side. Satan is relentless in his attacks against God’s children. But you’re almost there, so don’t quit! You may feel like giving up on your dream. Yet God has already won the war for your destiny at Jesus’ finished work on the cross. God has great plans for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11) Keep fighting!
