Do you have support, accountability, and prayer for your ministry and/or business?

Today at lunch I was able to sit down with my husband Ray and talk to him about some of the changes I’ve been making here at Tablet of My Heart, and to get some new insights for my business.

Do you have some people in your life with whom you can mastermind about your ministry and/or business – people who will encourage and support you, keep you on the right track and accountable, and pray for you? Surround yourself with encouraging, positive, faith-filled people who see God’s greatness and potential in you and who will cheer you on to the finish line.

Hang around those who will say to you when you share a creative (off-the-wall?) idea, “GO FOR IT!” Hang around Jesus and with people who can inspire you with fresh ideas. Waters that stand still become stagnant – but we want to be people with the water that will be “an artesian spring within, gushing fountains of endless life.” (John 4:13-14, The Message)

We’ve heard the expression that we only grow as far as the people who are around us. So if the ones you have the closest proximity to are negative people who diss your ideas and discourage you, how far can you grow? On the other hand, if you intentionally choose to spend your time with people who are strong Christians who believe in and apply the powerful, sharp, living, active Word of God in their live, who follow God, and who have “I can do it!” success mindsets, then you are likely to increase your own growth and potential. And remember, “If we’re growing, we’re always going to be out of our comfort zones.” (John Maxwell) Stretch yourself; push your limits!

Who are you spending the most time with now? Find mentors, coaches, and friends who will exhort you to come higher and to become all that God has created you to be.
