God’s way: A heart for the lost

This Sunday our pastor offered us a challenge at the end of the service: “Is what you’re doing working? Is your way working?”  In my head was a big, resounding “NOOOO!”  I desire to do things GOD’S way in my life, and yet how often we as His people try to do things OUR way – which does not usually work!

One of the things that burns on the heart of God the Father is saving the lost. He desires to further His kingdom here on earth, and He wants to use you and me to reach out to them with His agape love and forgiveness. Britt Nicole’s song The Lost Get Found has this as its theme, and is just so incredible. I could listen to it over and over again!

The cry of my heart after watching this video is:  “Don’t let the fire burn out. Let the fire continually burn, day and night, on the altar of our hearts, Lord. Help us to move out of the way. Give us a true heart for the lost, God. Forgive our self-absorption and our worldly cares. Help us to take a chance, not play it safe, but to simply obey You and to act with boldness so Your kingdom will advance here on earth. Make us Your speakers of truth to all mankind, Lord. ‘Preach the gospel at all times. If necessary, use words.’ Let Your love letter be inscribed on the tablet of our hearts. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

I hope this video will encourage your heart, and bless you as it did me this morning.
