Just a cut above the rest

This weekend I went to get mine and Leah’s hair trimmed at a salon in another city, where I’d gone one time before. Tina, a woman from the Philippines who had cut my hair, had done a great job and she was extremely friendly – which is why I came back.

She has had a successful salon business for 18 years, and I asked her some tips for having a successful business. Here is what she said, which I pass onto you:

  • It’s only been with God’s help. She couldn’t have done it without Him.
  • Put the customer first. Make them feel welcome and special.
  • Word of mouth advertising is the best kind of advertising. Tina pays very little for advertising, because she gets so many referrals through word of mouth.

One client of Tina’s lives in St. Louis, MO. She occasionally will drive several hours just to get Tina to cut her hair because “Nobody cuts my hair like you do, Tina.” What an incredible testimony!

Tina’s tagline on her business card is, “Just a cut above the rest.”

What can you do in your business that is just a cut above the rest?

How can you make your customers and clients feel special and loved, not just like a dollar sign, but really valued and appreciated?

Finally and most importantly, are you running your business with God – or trying to do it without Him?

As appreciation for my readers, here are 2 free gifts for you. Just right click on the link and save to your computer. Enjoy!
