Red cardinal, my fave bird in the world next to eagle
Yesterday morning I was leaving the house to pick up Ray from his shift at the hospital, when I heard a beautiful bird song. I looked up and saw a bright red cardinal on the telephone wire near our house. The male red cardinal is my favorite bird in the whole world, next to eagles and hawks.
Several years ago when I was going through a spiritually dark season, I read an article by a woman, who wrote that the red male cardinal had been her mother’s favorite bird. When her mom died, each time she saw a red cardinal, she felt it was God’s special way of letting her know her that He deeply loved her, just as her mom had.
After reading that article, it was funny, I started seeing red cardinals a lot. Especially on days where I was having a bad day or a hard time. It’d quickly bring tears to my eyes. I felt that God was using the red cardinal as a symbol for me, to tell me how much He loved me.

Love Right On Time
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen one. So yesterday morning, I was delightfully surprised to see the red cardinal and to hear its beautiful singing voice.
I’ve been going through a hard time lately. So yea, God is always right on time.
Love is not a Valentine’s Day card.
Love is not a vase of roses or chocolates.
Love is not hot wings and red wine.
Love can be displayed through these things. But love is so much more than these.
This is true love:
Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.- John 15:13, AKJV
Jesus did that for you and me.
He continues to show His love to us daily.
Thank you, Lord God, for the beautiful red cardinal yesterday. Yes, I felt Your love.
