Happy Mother’s Day weekend

Know how hectic that it can be preparing for a trip when you’ve got other things to do? This week I’ve been running around like a mad woman, preparing for speaking at the Women of Destiny Conference on the cruise to the Bahamas.

I now have almost everything packed and checked off my to-do list. I’m just waiting on a small supply of my books to arrive this afternoon to sell at the back table, The Hands Of A Woman: Everyday Women In Everyday Battles.

Still not sure WHERE to pack them – I already have two medium sized pieces of luggage FILLED. Delta only allows one checked bag or they charge you more. Two bags are doing good with the way I used to pack. (I learned how to pack lighter when I worked a flight attendant.)

Tonight I am babysitting our granddaughters Annabelle and Violet, dropping off Leah to a friend’s house for a comedy night, and tomorrow morning I speak at a Mother’s Day Tea at the Carriage House in Butler.

It’s a crazy, hectic weekend, but exciting at the same time. I am pumped up! I covet your prayers for traveling mercies, God’s anointing on me to speak on Saturday at the ladies’ tea and next week at the conference, and for protection over our family. When I come home, I’ll share the beautiful pics with you. 🙂

Have a wonderful weekend and a beautiful Mother’s Day. Remember that being a mother is one of the greatest blessings God could ever give you, and a sacred calling. There is no more important work on earth. Hug your children, tell them you love them, and teach them about Jesus each day, letting your life be the greatest lesson of all.
