I just hosted and spoke at The Power of Shoes speakers/writers virtual retreat on September 16-17, 2021. It was amazing and the speakers were anointed by God!

I’ve held these speakers/writers retreats in person twice before here in Butler, Missouri, where I live, and taught part of it at my friend Missy Hoffman’s live event in Hutchinson, Kansas. My business coach Diane Cunningham Ellis encouraged me to “pivot” when Covid-19 hit the USA and so many speaking venues were closed; she said to bring my speaking online.

So that is what I did. This is the first virtual retreat that I’ve done and it was fun! I hope to do more in the future. What an honor and a blessing that these gifted speakers said yes to God and to me.

My Writers & Speakers Virtual Training is here!

When I was a child, all I wanted to be when I grew up was a mom and a writer. God made those dreams come true. I’m the mom of 3 beautiful daughters and the author of 21 books ~ and still writing (and a speaker!). I’ve made many mistakes along the way in writing & speaking, but learned so much. I wish I’d had someone with me all along the journey to help me.

I’ve taught those lessons I’ve learned at in-person retreats, but have now created a virtual training to help others so they don’t make those same mistakes and can write their own book and step out to speak. It’s in my new online portal – your portal to SUCCESS!

Star Wars movie and VIP Writers’ Day

I hope you had a blessed Christmas with your family and friends. We had all our children and grandchildren over for Christmas Eve dinner here at our house; on Christmas Eve, Ray, Heather and Leah traveled to Texas to visit Ray’s mom Judy and stepdad Leonard.

I didn’t go this time, but stayed home and prayed, ate Mexican, read, and watched chic flics…don’t you feel sorry for me, lol? I’ll try to post pics this week of our family Christmas together.

One of the gifts I bought Ray for Christmas was tickets to see the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens. He’s been talking about seeing it for weeks.

I also bought him a Star Wars, “The Force Awakens,” t-shirt (he wore it to see the movie today, too!).

This isn’t a spoiler alert, but I’ll just say I thought the original Star Wars movie was MUCH better (aren’t they all?). But we had fun going out.

I loved the white lights on the trees there at the shopping center.

By the theatre the sidewalk had these words engraved: “May the force be with you.” I snapped a pic of Ray standing by the words. My prayer is that in 2016, the force of God’s power, authority, and anointing will be with and upon Ray! Amen!

Meanwhile, tomorrow I’m planning to go through our house and my office office, organizing, sorting, throwing away, and filing things to prepare for 2016.
