You’ve probably heard of the Asbury Revival at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. It’s been going about 11 days strong now. Students were having a regular service in the chapel there and a few lingered after the service. The Spirit of God fell and there was worship, praise, and repentance among the university students.
People from across the USA and even the world began coming to witness and to participate in this event. It caught the attention of the media and other places began experiencing similar things. I think it’s powerful and beautiful, and I’m praying nothing weird or warped happens as a result, but that it remains a pure move of God with a hunger and a thirst for Him and that the holy flame of God spreads across America and the world.
Snow in spring in Missouri
This morning when I woke up, to my surprise it was snowing outside. Snow in spring. What in the world? Yet I felt God speaking through it.
Isaiah 43:19 NIV
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
That phrase “a new thing” in the original language is “Chadash” (Strong’s H2319). It means:
- fresh as of this year;
- unheard of;
- to produce something new;
- to polish a splendid sword (I thought this was very interesting!);
- to renew;
- to repair or restore buildings or towns;
- to renew oneself.
God also gave me Isaiah 1:18 CSB:
“Come, let us settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are scarlet, they will be white as snow, though they are crimson red, they will be like wool.”
No matter what sin you have committed, if you ask His forgiveness, believing in the finished work on the cross by Jesus Christ, He will forgive you.
I recorded a short video about the snow in spring today and the encouraging, prophetic word God gave me this morning. Here it is at YouTube. Just click on the link below to view it:
